Open role

Production Coordinator (Furniture, Joinery, Fitout, Millwork)

TIE RecruitmentBeirut, LebanonFull-time permanent

About the role

This is a coordination and reporting role, not a technical authority role. Decisions on technique, materials, supplier selection
and workshop sequencing remain with the Design Team and Production Manager.

DESIGN PACKAGE CONTROL
Catalog pieces and stock orders

  • Pulls the approved drawings and specifications for the piece from the server
  • Confirms the current revision is being used
  • Compiles and hands the package to the Production Manager

Custom pieces and variation orders

  • Receives the design package from the design team
  • Verifies the package against the Design Package Checklist before it reaches the Production Manager
  • Confirms Nada's approval and the design lead's sign-off are present and on the correct drawing revision. No

verbal approvals accepted

  • Returns incomplete packages to the design team with a written list of what is missing

All orders

  • Logs the package with date, revision number, project or client reference, and target completion date
  • Hands the package to the Production Manager in person, walks through it with him, and takes any queries back

to the design team

  • Removes old drawings from the workshop when a design or finish changes, replaces them with the new

approved version, and informs the costing and sales teams of any effect on cost or delivery date

  • Maintains the drawing archive so the current approved revision is always retrievable

DESIGN PACKAGE CHECKLIST
Minimum contents required before a package is handed to production:

  • Approved shop and execution drawings, signed and dated
  • Materials and finish schedule, with approved physical samples referenced
  • Craft specification (inlay pattern, marquetry layout, carving detail) with reference imagery
  • Hardware and fittings specification
  • Quality control sheet
  • Target delivery date and client or project reference

PRODUCTION TRACKING AND REPORTING

  • Owns the production task list and keeps it accurate and up to date at all times
  • Updates status daily based on a physical walk of the workshop and direct conversation with the Production

Manager and subcontractors.

  • Notifies the responsible designer at the end of each production phase so they can attend and carry out their

quality control check before work moves on

  • Attends the weekly production meeting and presents the status of every active project
  • Keeps track of all issues: what is late, why, and the expected recovery date
  • Escalates any piece at risk of missing its delivery date to the GM and sales team as soon as the risk is visible, not

when the date is missed

  • Photographs work in progress at each phase transition and files it against the piece record

SUPPORT TO THE PRODUCTION MANAGER

  • Attends the Production Manager's discussions with suppliers and subcontractors, and writes down what was

agreed: price, quantity, specification and delivery date, so there is always a written record

  • Writes and sends emails on the Production Manager's behalf: purchase requests, order confirmations and

follow-ups

  • Follows up with subcontracted workshops (inlay, metal, stone, upholstery, finishing) on progress, readiness and

collection dates, and reports back to the Production Manager

AUTHORITY AND BOUNDARIES
The production coordinator has authority to:

  • Hold a design package and return it to the design team if it is incomplete or unapproved
  • Require a written status from any subcontractor or supplier
  • Escalate a delay or quality concern directly to the GM or COO

The production coordinator does not:

  • Instruct the workshop or subcontractors on technique, sequencing or material substitution
  • Select or negotiate with suppliers
  • Approve design changes or cost changes
  • Override or reverse a Production Manager decision

The relationship is complementary: the Production Manager holds craft, supplier and technical judgement; the Production
Coordinator holds process, documentation, visibility and follow-through.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 to 5 years experience in production coordination, project coordination or workshop administration, preferably in

furniture, joinery, millwork or interior fit-out

  • Direct exposure to a workshop floor. This is not a desk-only role
  • Able to read and interrogate shop drawings well enough to identify what is missing, ambiguous or contradictory.

AutoCAD literacy at reading level is essential

  • Strong Excel, and comfortable building and maintaining trackers without supervision
  • Very good command of the English and Arabic languages
  • Persistent and organised, with the maturity to chase a senior colleague respectfully and consistently
  • Comfortable working with a highly experienced, non-digital Production Manager without friction or

condescension

  • Precise, and comfortable holding the line when a package is not complete
  • Genuine interest in craft, materials and making, and respect for the Nada Debs brand and its handmade heritage
